ISLAMABAD:
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has scheduled hearing of an appeal against the acquittal of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in the ‘Iddat Nikkah’ case on Monday.
Newly appointed IHC judge Azam Khan will hear the appeal of Bushra Bibi’s ex-husband Khawar Manika. Manika had challenged the verdict announced by the Additional Sessions judge on July 13, 2024.
The District and Sessions Court acquitted Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi by accepting their appeals against the verdict announced by civil judge Qudratullah, which had sentenced the couple to seven years each.
