Meghan Markle has seemingly made a major U-turn with her decision to accompany Prince Harry on a visit to the United Kingdom, but it remains quite uncertain how she will be received by the British.
Since stepping away from her royal duties and publicly attacking the royal family and the UK lifestyle, the Duchess of Sussex is reportedly accompanying her husband and two children, Archie and Lilibet, for a long-awaited return.
The family will participate in Invictus Games promotional events in mid-July. However, confirmation is still pending.
Now royal expert Ingrid Seward believes there are possibly two main reasons behind Meghan’s decision to return to the UK despite her years of ‘whining’.
First of all, it is about ending Prince Harry’s divorce rumors by supporting his partner. Secondly, getting royal approval for his lifestyle brand, As Ever, in times of financial crisis.
The royal author claimed: “They have to come, or more accurately, Meghan has to come. “She really needs some royal stardust on her and her business if she wants it to succeed.
“He probably hopes that a visit to the UK will give him that, so he has to make it work somehow.”
However, the Duchess is in crisis when thinking about how the British receive her, since they ‘rejected’ her before.
“It could be a very good move for her business, but it leaves her with a bit of a crisis because coming to a country where she doesn’t like her that much won’t be easy,” Ingrid said.
