The new film, directed by Georgia Oakley, is the eighth adaptation of Jane Austen’s novel since 1971, in all global media. However, fans of the book are already concerned that the new film won’t live up to one version in particular: the 1995 film directed by Kate Winslet and Emma Thompson.
