Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have thrilled Britons with a major update about the return of their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to the United Kingdom.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have confirmed that their two children will accompany them to Great Britain in July.

It will be their first trip to the UK since visiting to celebrate the late Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022.

King Charles has reportedly given the green light to the Sussexes, as the 77-year-old monarch is said to be desperate to see his grandchildren who live in California.

Previously, Harry expressed concern that he does not feel it is safe to bring Meghan and their children to the UK after losing their tax-funded police protection in 2020.

If the Sussexes are welcomed into the King’s residences, they will be covered by the property’s existing security measures.

Buckingham Palace confirmed on June 19 that King Charles had offered Harry and his family accommodation at a royal property during their visit, although it has not been revealed where they will stay.

The former royals will carry out a series of public engagements focused on the Invictus Games Foundation and Prince Harry’s long-standing charitable work.

To mark one year until the Invictus Games in 2027, the couple will visit the National Exhibition Center (NEC) in Birmingham, the main venue for the Games.

The visit opens the door for children to spend time with King Charles.

Since the family moved to California in 2020, Archie is believed to have spent only a handful of occasions with the 77-year-old monarch, and the monarch has only met Lili, named after Queen Elizabeth’s childhood nickname, once.
