Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made a surprise move in search of peace, reportedly enjoying a European holiday with Archie and Lilibet while their visit to the UK hangs in the balance after the latest update.

The California-based couple are said to prefer to bring their children to Europe before Harry’s planned trip to the UK in July, as his request for police protection remains unaddressed.

The couple’s European move has fueled speculation about the UK tour, with reports suggesting they are reviewing their plans to travel to Britain with the Prince and Princess.

The Sussexes were scheduled to spend five days in Britain, and the duke and duchess led several engagements related to Harry’s Invictus Games.

The latest report comes a day after King Charles’ emotional speech at the official opening of the seventh session of the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh, in which he paid tribute to local heroes.

Previously, several media outlets and some royal commentators on social media reported that former working royals and their children would meet the royals after being offered the royal residence of the Palace.

However, as no formal decision has been reached on Harry’s security arrangements, the duke is now unsure whether to include his children.

The telegraph reported that while Meghan, Archie and Lilibet may not accompany their father for the entire trip, they could enter and leave the United Kingdom by plane in a single day.

He added that their visit would likely see them reunite with their grandfather, King Charles. It was also reported that the Duke of Sussex was hoping to take his children to visit the grave of his late grandmother, Princess Diana.

The Duke of Sussex will begin his trip with an Invictus Games Foundation event at Chatham House, bringing together experts, policymakers and members of the Invictus Community to discuss issues affecting service personnel and wounded, ill and injured veterans.
