The Las Vegas Raiders have had a disappointing few years.
The Raiders have not had a winning season or made the playoffs since 2021. The team has not won more than eight games in that span, which concluded with a 3-14 season in 2025. Last year’s futility led to them being selected with the first overall pick in the 2026 draft.

Tom Brady, the Raiders’ minority owner and FOX’s lead commentator, warned the organization in a recent interview on the “Stick to Football” podcast.
“I would expect a lot of improvement from where we’ve been so far. Last year, we underperformed in all areas,” he said. “And it’s everyone’s fault. That’s the reality.”
“There’s no one that’s done a good job. There’s not a single player in the organization, there’s no one involved that’s done the job at the level that’s needed. And everyone needs to get better. And it starts with me, and it trickles down to the rest of the players on the field, and they have to go out there and ultimately they have to perform at a high level.”

Brady said he expected a “massive improvement” across the board as the team revamped its personnel from the wings to those playing on the field.
He added that with more reps on the field, a good team should be better from the beginning of the year to the end.
The team hired Klint Kubiak as its new head coach in the offseason after he helped guide the Seattle Seahawks to a Super Bowl title.
The Raiders selected quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the first pick and signed Kirk Cousins to increase competition at the position. The team also signed Tyler Linderbaum, Quay Walker, Kwity Payne, Connor Heyward and Jalen Nailor, among others.
