Prince William has his sights set on an important issue while King Charles is embroiled in a complicated situation related to the Sussexes’ upcoming visit to the United Kingdom.
The Prince of Wales, who launched an initiative, inspired by the values of his late mother Princess Diana, to end homelessness in the UK by June 2023, is now taking a different approach to preventing the crisis, which is caused by a systemic failure.
The future King has indicated that he already has big plans for the monarchy and has indicated the changes he is willing to implement with Homewards.
“Homelessness is not an individual failure; it is a systemic failure. And, if systems help create the problem, then they can also help prevent it,” William is expected to share in the speech at a celebration event on Tuesday.
“By testing new approaches, Homewards is demonstrating how prevention can be integrated into all sectors of our society. Demonstrating that our true strength arises not in isolation, but in a shared purpose that makes us greater than the sum of our parts.”
The initiative has already helped thousands of people access stable homes, jobs and support before reaching crisis point.
The update comes as Prince William reportedly disagrees with his father’s peace plan with Prince Harry, who is expected to bring Meghan and their two children to the UK for the first time in four years.
King Charles is open to welcoming his grandchildren, but sources have stressed that Prince William and Princess Kate have decided to “disengage” from the drama.
