Millie Bobby Brown Teases Eleven’s ‘Stranger Things’ Resurgence

Millie Bobby Brown has hinted that she would love to return as Eleven in the future stranger things project, and has revealed that even she doesn’t know for sure if her character survived in the end.

speaking in The speech podcast on June 30, while promoting Enola Holmes 3, host Mike DeAngelo, 22, asked Brown, 22, on behalf of his seven-year-old son, what really happened at the end of stranger things.

His response was tempting.

“I mean, honestly, I don’t even know. I mean, objectively, it looks like she’s dead, but then there’s this ending that potentially opens the door, and maybe she’s smarter than everyone thinks, and she got out. The Duffer brothers and I are the only ones who know the real truth.”

When DeAngelo pushed her to imagine a hypothetical comeback—what would Eleven be like at age 30?—Brown lit up.

“Oh, I’d love to. I’m not done with El. I love her very much. I was very satisfied with the ending, but it was a hard pill to swallow. I’d love to see what she could be doing when she’s 30. I’d be interested to see that. I hope everyone else is, but that’s if she’s alive.”

The comments add new fuel to fans’ speculation about the character’s fate.

Netflix’s Tudum has previously noted that creators Matt and Ross Duffer “have let viewers decide what they think happens with Eleven,” which, combined with Brown’s teasing, suggests the door has been deliberately left ajar.
