Palace shares heartwarming photos as key royals return after tough decision

Palace provided a heartwarming update following the long-awaited return of a senior family member after a difficult period.

On June 5, the official Instagram page of the Norwegian royal family posted the first photo of Mette-Marit, Crown Princess of Norway, following her lung transplant surgery.

The princess was seen sitting with her husband, Haakon, Crown Prince of Norway, as the couple celebrated Norway’s incredible victory against Brazil in the FIFA World Cup.

In another image, the Crown Prince and Princess are seen looking out the Palace window, possibly watching the Norwegians celebrating the country’s great victory.

Notably, the Crown Prince and Princess watched the exciting match from the Royal Palace. While Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus were on the ground to support their national team live.

The statement regarding Mette-Marit’s return from her hospital stay reads: “Yesterday was a historic night!

“The whole family watched with excitement! The King and Queen of Mågerø, the Crown Prince and Queen from the Palace, and Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus at the US stadium.

“Congratulations to the national team, support staff and Norway for this fantastic achievement!”
