“If I were a wrestling promoter and I wanted to draw the biggest crowd possible no matter the cost, even if it meant bankruptcy, I would make admission free and give everyone unlimited free pizza and beer,” Jacobs wrote.

“And that, my friends, was the immigration policy of the Biden administration.”

President Donald Trump’s stance on immigration helped him win the 2024 presidential election over Kamala Harris. In May, the Trump administration celebrated a full year of “zero releases” at the southern border.

In a news release announcing the decline in releases at the southern border, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) pointed to broader law enforcement statistics that show illegal crossings and apprehensions at levels officials said have not been seen in more than three decades. CBP said Border Patrol recorded 8,943 apprehensions on the southwest border in April, 94% less than the Biden administration’s monthly average, 96% less than the December 2023 peak during Biden’s term and less than the number of apprehensions in just three days in April 2024.

Jacobs compared Hawk to New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
