Asus Republic of Gamers has announced the ROG Raikiri II Pro, a high-end, high-performance PC controller, and the compact, premium Gjallar gaming soundbar.
Asus describes the Raikiri II Pro PC controller as “the ultimate gaming controller” that provides users with “unparalleled precision control to dominate gaming fields.”
Complete with a competitive-grade 8000Hz polling rate and 2.4GHz wireless performance enhanced by ROG SpeedNova technology for responsive, high-range control and ultra-low latency, the controller also features microswitch buttons and bumpers for instant actuation and tactile feedback.
It also features dual-mode triggers, allowing users to seamlessly transition between short-throw triggers, microswitch, and full-travel TMR sensor, “allowing for a custom feel based on the game genre.”
For more customized control, the Raikiri II Pro offers hot-swappable TMR joystick modules and includes two sets of joystick modules that can be adapted to any play style.
The eye-catching full-color integrated panel on the front of the controller also allows for convenient on-the-fly adjustments such as button remapping, vibration intensity, joystick calibration, lighting effects and brightness.
Users can also switch between five unique profiles and connect to the ASUS Gear Link software to enable more customization options, including detailed button mapping, joystick sensitivity, and more.
The premium controller is designed for long gaming sessions and offers up to 79 hours of battery life on a single charge.
Then there’s the Gjallar Gaming Soundbar, a premium gaming soundbar designed for “stunning cinematic surround sound, clear in-game communication, and cross-platform compatibility to optimize any setup.”
The accessory immerses listeners in a realistic 3D soundstage through Dolby Atmos 2.1.2 surround sound with left and right full-range speakers and offers an all-in-one audio control center that provides convenient access to equalizer settings, playback controls and input source selection.
An RGB lighting system also offers up to 16.8 million colors and four preset effects for a complete and cohesive gaming setup for further customization.
The Gjallar houses built-in microphones with acoustic echo cancellation (AEC) for seamless communication and offers multi-device and multi-platform connectivity via USB-C, HDMI 2.1 (eARC), optical and AUX input, and Bluetooth 5.3.
There’s also a built-in USB hub on the side of the soundbar for USB Type-A connections, and users can make simple customization settings through the Gear Link app, such as equalizer, lighting, microphone settings, and more.
Pricing details for both the ROG Raikiri II Pro PC controller and the Gjallar gaming soundbar will be revealed soon.
TechRadar reviewed the ROG Raikiri II Pro’s predecessor, the Asus ROG Raikiri II, earlier this year, with our reviews editor Josh calling it “impressive in every way” and stating that he’ll never go back to a regular controller after using it. Time will tell if the Raikiri II Pro PC controller will have the same impact.
