The 30-second trailer, which you can watch below, was originally released in South Korea, but has since been shared by numerous outlets, including Discussing Film. And, although it contains numerous clips that we have already seen in spider man 4The first preview and new dayIn the official trailer, the last five seconds of footage are dedicated to the aforementioned battle between Peter Parker and Bruce Banner’s alter egos.

Admittedly, this is just a brief glimpse of what is expected to be one of the major scenes of the Marvel movie. However, there are a couple of big things we can take away from this latest video, including the possible return of another Spider-Man villain we haven’t seen since 2016. Spider-Man: Homecoming. Potentially major spoilers immediately follow. for spider man 4so come back now if you don’t want to know anything else.
On the villain front, it looks like Shocker could be part of the Marvel Phase 6 movie’s already stacked rogues gallery.
In the comics, this antagonistic individual wields mechanical gauntlets that can electrocute and/or stun people. For his live-action debut in ReturnLogan Marshall-Green played the first version of Shocker. However, after he was killed by Michael Keaton’s Adrian Toomes/The Vulture, Bokeem Woodbine’s Herman Schultz inherited the mantle of Shocker. By the way, Schultz is the only person who uses the alias Shocker in the source material.
But I digress. new dayThe latest TV spot reveals that Tom Holland’s eponymous hero will use one of Shocker’s gauntlets to attempt to subdue the Hulk who, for reasons still unclear, has gone on another rampage in New York City.
Does this mean we’ll see Woodbine appear in this Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie? Or will Shocker only appear in a split-second cameo as part of a larger montage in the film’s opening sequence that will show Spidey fighting and defeating many of his enemies? The latter would explain why Spidey has one of his gauntlets in his possession, especially if Spider-Man covertly confiscated it for future use.
The other interesting thing to note about this TV spot is that the wall-crawler won’t be taking on the Hulk on his own.
In fact, at the 0:10 mark, there’s another blink-and-you’ll-miss clip of Spider-Man fighting the big, green, evil machine. Pause progress in the right spot, however, and you’ll see a gun fired from an unusual angle.
With a little editing trickery (read: increasing the screen brightness), you can clearly see that Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle/The Punisher is lying on the ground while taking a swing at the Hulk. Clearly, Frank didn’t get the memo about the Hulk’s impenetrable skin…
So, does Castle join the fight to help Spidey stop the Hulk from running amok? No, according to a leaked excerpt from a forthcoming post. Spider-Man: New Day art book
According to the X/Twitter fan account BuiltFromSmash, “[The] “The Punisher eventually becomes embroiled in the battle between Spider-Man and the Hulk, not because he is hunting either of them, but because his own mission clashes with theirs.”
What does this mean exactly? I can’t say for sure. However, with rumors circulating online for months now that Castle is protecting Sadie Sink’s mysterious character in spider man 4and his apparent involvement in intentionally forcing Banner out of the Hulk, I wouldn’t be surprised if this was all related somehow. Either way, let’s hope Spider-Man and Hulk’s duel ends amicably and recreates a very specific Marvel Comics scene that fans are dying to see.
