The security forces have successfully frustrated a terrorist attack against a security post in the Gulistan area of the Baluchistan district Qila Abdullah, during the night from January 27 to January 28.
The terrorists tried to violate the perimeter using a vehicle loaded with explosives after their initial assault was repelled, according to a statement from public relations between services (ISPR).
In the exchange of fires that followed, the five attackers, including two suicide bombers, were neutralized.
Two soldiers, Naik Tahir Khan (39, of the District of Tanks) and Lance Naik Tahir Iqbal (26, of the Karak district), fought bravely but hugged martyrdom during the intense confrontation.
After the incident, a disinfecting operation was launched in the area to locate and detain the remaining perpetrators.
National Afghan involved in murdered terrorism, body delivered to Kabul: ISPR
A terrorist identified as an Afghan citizen was killed in Sambaza, Zhob district of Baluchistan, on January 11, 2025, public relations between services (ISPR) reported last week.
The individual, Muhammad Khan Ahmedkhel, son of Haji Qasim Dawran Khan, was a resident of the Bilorai village in the district of Wazekhwa, province of Paktika, Afghanistan.
The deceased was involved in acts of terrorism within Pakistan, said the ISPR.
After completing legal formalities, Ahmedkhel’s body was delivered to officials of the Interim Afghan Government (IAG) on January 20.
ISPR pointed out as “irrefutable evidence of the participation of Afghan citizens in terrorist activities within Pakistan.” The army urged Kabul to “fulfill their responsibilities” ensuring that Afghan soil is not used to launch terrorist attacks against Pakistan.
