It is the only theme that composer Olivier Derivière describes as “the most contrasted score of [the] A plague tale series”. The fight for the brave It is an intense and vibrant song that stands out for its percussion, crescendos and haunting choral voices. This is not a happy tune.
Derivière says: “The fight of the brave iIt’s one of the most epic tracks on the OST. We needed something truly glorious to capture the spirit of the ancient Minoan warriors. “Rather than relying on a full orchestra, the enthusiastic energy of the magnificent Amalgamation Choir, combined with thunderous percussion, perfectly conveys the relentless challenge ahead.”

Derivière goes on to say that “The echo of the musical phrases also wonderfully represents the deep connection between Sofia and that distant era, a mystical resonance that travels through the ages.”
The soundtracks of the first two. plague tale The games are some of my absolute favorites of the last few years and are perfectly aligned with the games’ dark and somber stories. From what the composer says about the broader soundtrack, it sounds like we’re in for something special.
“Resonancealthough part of A plague tale universe, it is a very different game and therefore needed a fresh musical approach without abandoning the central emotions and musical traits of the franchise,” explains Derivière.
Using musicians and vocalists from Cyprus and Greece for an authentic feel, the Amalgamation Choir was sought out to create a captivating score to accompany Sophia’s adventure.
