- Former Rockstar Games producer John Ricchio thinks grand theft car 6 will be “monstrous” in scale
- He says that the developer tends to make each game bigger than the last.
- However, he would not like to work on the game because of how ambitious it is.
Former Rockstar Games producer John Ricchio believes grand theft car 6 It’s going to be a huge game and he’s glad he’s not working on such an ambitious project.
In a new podcast interview with Kiwi Talkz, where the developer talked about his time at Rockstar and the crucial culture that came with the role, Ricchio was asked if there was any part of him he wanted to work on. GTA 6or if thinking about the project was stressing you out.
“I think the fact that every time they make a GTA“It’s ridiculously bigger than before, it’s something I think about,” Ricchio said. “I can only imagine the size of GTA 6. It must be monstrous, or if not monstrous, it’s probably much more detailed.”
GTA 6 will have a much larger Vice City map, allowing players to explore various regions of Leonida. There will also be plenty of open-world activities and features to access, including car shops, clothing stores, hair salons, safe houses, and boats that players can take out on the water.
The developer suggested that if Rockstar “maintained the same footprint as GTA 5, which was significantly greater than GTA 4significantly higher than RDR [Red Dead Redemption] and continued to take advantage of that framework, GTA 6 It will be a huge game.
“Between RDR and GTA“I think they were continually increasing the size of the world, which is a big problem, right?” he said. “There’s a lot more stuff to build. It’s a lot more performance to deal with. There are a lot of considerations when going for a bigger world, but it really makes you feel like you’re in one place, right? It makes you feel like you’re in a huge place.”
For this reason, Ricchio jokingly added, he’s “pretty happy” not to be working on the game.
Look
“Not that those people wouldn’t be great to work with. I still think about my Rockstar gear all the time,” he said.
“It’s really difficult, and it’s a difficult period in your career when you’re working so hard on something, and to get to the end and then have people be really excited about what you’ve done is just magical, it’s very rewarding.
“I will never forget part of the game with the public events of Max Payne or for RDRand even GTAWe were involved in very specific pieces, but people were very excited about what you had done or to be a part of something. It’s so amazing. It’s such a good feeling to do something, spend a lot of time [on something] and that people appreciate it.”
Ricchio continued, saying that if he was still in the studio and working on GTA 6I wouldn’t be “docile” to how things currently work, which would “probably lead me to an exit.”
“I’ve learned a lot about different ways things can be done and different ways to build successful and difficult projects, and you don’t have to do it that way at the expense of burning people out,” the developer said. “It clearly works, and they make games that work very well, and I hope GTA [6] work very well even with the higher price.
