FromSoftware has announced the dates for The Duskbloods‘Closed network test to be carried out next month.
The Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive was announced over a year ago and details about the rebranded Elden Ring The studio’s upcoming PvPvE multiplayer games have been few and far between.
After showing off the closed network test last month along with a new trailer, FromSoftware confirmed that there will be four tests over four days, between August 21 and 24. You can check the start dates and times below.
“To all future Blood Sworn, your participation in the upcoming Nightfall Battles is eagerly awaited!” reads a Nintendo post on X.
Fans can apply here, starting July 22 at 4:00 pm CEST / 3:00 pm BST until July 28 at 3:59 pm CEST / 2:59 pm BST.
The player selection announcement will be revealed on August 7 at 3:00 pm CEST / 2:00 pm BST.
The Duskbloods Closed Network Test
- August 21: 12:00 to 16:00 CEST / 11:00 to 15:00 BST
- August 22: 4am to 8am CEST / 3am to 7am BST
- August 22: 8pm to 12am CEST / 7pm to 11pm BST
- August 23: 12:00 to 16:00 CEST / 11:00 to 15:00 BST
- August 24: 4am to 8am CEST / 3am to 7am BST
“A network test involves using a pre-release version of the game to test performance before the start of the service. We plan to conduct large-scale network load tests to verify different technical aspects of the game’s online systems,” FromSoftware explained on its website.
The campaign will be able to test server load, game balance, and various issues that can occur when multiple people play together in different network environments.
The Duskbloods was one of the highlights of last year’s Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, but unfortunately there is no release date yet.
There’s also not much information about the gameplay, setting, and story; However, the studio has confirmed that the network test will feature multiplayer matches that will “allow up to eight players to participate together.”
I didn’t buy a Switch 2 at launch; I’ve been putting off buying one for the moment; I’m crossing my fingers for a limited edition.
