Islamabad:
Imran Khan PTI has invited Jui-F of Maulana Fazlur refman to join a great opposition alliance, Tehreek Tahaffuz-Eee-Pakistan, formed last year with the aim of protecting the holiness of the Constitution.
The invitation was extended during a meeting between a delegation of PTI and the Chief of Jui-F in his residence in the Federal Capital. The PTI delegation was directed by Omar Ayub and included Asad Qaiser, Salman Akram Raja, Hamid Raza and Akhunzada Yousufzai.
At the meeting, the two parties agreed to form a committee that includes Asad Qaiser of PTI and the senator of Jui-F, Kamran Murtaza.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Omar Ayub said they had visited Maulana Fazlur Rehman to strengthen democracy. He mentioned that PTI workers are still being arrested and that during recent negotiations, the government had not accepted any of their demands.
Omar also said that the government had promised to organize a private meeting with the founder of PTI Imran Khan, who is imprisoned in Adiala’s prison, but did not. He added that the authorities had made a raid at the Hamid Raza residence during the conversations.
PTI’s secretary general, Salman Akram Raja, said they informed Maulana Fazlur Rehman about the ongoing negotiations, which were called Tuesday, and discussed the intentions of the Government.
During an informative media session, the Jui-F spokesman, Senator Kamran Murtaza, said that PTI leaders were well received by him and Maulana Fazlur Rehman. “Detailed discussions were made about the appointment of the CEC and two members. The electoral interference should come to an end,” he added.
He also announced that a temporary committee of two members had formed, which consists of Asad Qaiser and himself, to supervise the current developments.
