In fact, the Avengers: Judgment Day The clock video on Marvel’s YouTube channel, which has been counting down for months toward the film’s release date, has been updated. The minutes and seconds on the stopwatch are now displayed in green, and music now accompanies the ticking of the stopwatch.

Does this mean DoomsdayWill the first proper trailer be with us at 6am PT / 9am ET / 2pm BST? I’m still skeptical and think it’s simply the countdown until the ticket pre-sale window finally opens, but we’ll know for sure in less than 30 minutes.

Avengers: Judgment Day Tickets finally go on sale today (July 20), and Marvel fans believe the film’s first trailer could also come out around the same time.
As The Hollywood Reporter revealed earlier this month, moviegoers and comic book fans alike will soon be able to pre-reserve their seats for one of the hottest new movies of 2026. And, with some theater chains, like US company Regal, already telling fans where they’ll be able to see Doomsday Starting December 18, fans will be able to purchase advance tickets before the end of the day.
That’s not the only Marvel-related thing that could happen today, though, because some people believe the pre-sale release will coincide with the debut of DoomsdayThe official trailer.
In screenshots posted to Reddit pages including r/MarvelStudios, r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers, and r/LeaksandRumors, popular American movie ticket company Fandango’s app appeared to indicate that a new trailer would accompany the film’s pre-sale release.
Less than an hour later, users in a separate r/LeaksandRumors thread noticed that the trailer banner had been removed from the Fandango app. Some see this as confirmation that we’ll soon see a new look at the Marvel Phase 6 movie, but I’m not entirely convinced that’s the case.
Why Marvel shouldn’t (and should) postpone the release of a new Avengers: Doomsday trailer
If Marvel reveals Avengers: Judgment DayThe fifth trailer (remember, four small trailers were released between December 2025 and January 2026) today, wouldn’t be a total surprise.
In fact, releasing a new trailer, which would likely end up telling people they can pre-book tickets now, would further increase interest in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie and generate even more ticket sales. Releasing more new images before Marvel holds its final panel in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2026, which takes place on Saturday, July 25, would also give it more time to highlight some of its other upcoming films and Disney+ projects during said presentation, because Doomsday would not master the procedures.
However, with SDCC 2026 just days away, I’m baffled by the suggestion that Marvel would release DoomsdayThe first trailer sooner than expected. The aforementioned film is the comic book titan’s most anticipated film in years, and considering that past editions of SDCC have been where Marvel has made the biggest announcements and revelations about countless films, I can’t foresee a single change in that tried and tested strategy, not to mention huge success.
