If there was ever a chance that King Charles’ two sons would have reconciled at some point, Prince Harry appears to have squandered it after his latest statement.
The Prince of Wales has not been in contact with his younger brother for almost four years and had been avoiding even the possibility of meeting him despite being under the same roof two years ago.
Harry had brought his wife Meghan Markle and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to meet King Charles and Queen Camilla at Highgrove this month. Meanwhile, William and Kate kept a busy schedule during that time.
The meeting itself did not go off without a hitch due to the chaos and confusion surrounding the provision of royal accommodation and security. On top of that, Harry also lost his phone hacking case against DailyMail.
According to royal expert Emily Andrews, Harry’s statement after the verdict was another indicator of his “victim mentality” and how he “ensures it is ALWAYS someone else’s fault.”
She explained: “It is the fault of the monarchy, the men in gray suits, his brother, his stepmother and even the British government. The fault is never his.”
Prince William was already said to be “unhappy” with the Sussexes’ visit, which is why I had “snubbed” him by not approaching him. The Prince of Wales reportedly wanted Harry to take responsibility for his actions, which is why William remains so furious.
The expert stated that sources have stated that the relationship is “far from thawing.”
“He didn’t want to take any risk of seeing his little brother, or Meghan Markle, on their own turf,” Emily said.
“A brutal confrontation (which is what it would surely be) between the warring brothers is something William would want to avoid at all costs.”
Prince Harry’s statement on privacy case
Harry in his statement said he and his six plaintiffs went to court “seeking justice and accountability” but received “neither.”
“The fact that this court has decided to dismiss them represents an inconsistency that is difficult to understand or reconcile with common sense or with the evidence heard in the courtroom itself,” it reads.
“It is a complete and obvious cover-up, but sadly not entirely unexpected. However, the lengths the court has gone to in exonerating the Mail is as shocking as it is totally unjustified.”
