The Cabinet Division has launched the Toshakhana records from March 2023 until December 31, 2024, revealing a list of prominent figures that received gifts during this period, local media reported on Wednesday.
Among the listed individuals are Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Vice Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Punjab Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, former President Arif Alvi, former CJP Qazi Farez Isa and several other personalities Policies and key government.
According to the notification issued, numerous officials, including former interim prime minister, Anwarul Haq Kakar, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, finance minister, Muhammad Aurengzeb, Minister of Economic Affairs, Ahad Chema, the Minister of Law Azam Nazeer Tarar Tarar Tarar , Miftah Ismail, Rana Sanoullah, Actab Tarar, Shazin Bugti and Jam Kamal also received gifts.
Other people who appear in the notification include the president of the PPP, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, his sister Asifa Bhutto, Senator Talha Mahmood, the experienced diplomat Tariq Fatmi, the president of the Senate Yousaf Gillani race and the president of Fbr Rashid Langial, between others.
In addition, military and security personnel, such as the vice president of Admiral Abdul Samad, the military secretary of President Zardari, Brigadier Shahryar Munir Hafeez, the military secretary of the Prime Minister, Major General Tajdid Mumtaz, the director of Security of Prime Minister Mohamma Imran, and the former Ministry of Foreign Affairs Amina Baloch were also among the gifts they received.
The notification also included names of former internal ministers such as Shamshad Akhtar (Finance), Jalil Abbas Jilani (Foreign Affairs), Dr. Umar Saif (IT), Tajat Gohar Ejaz (Commerce) and Muhammad Ali (Energy) for several elements during his possession .
The gifts presented included books, decorative pieces, memories, watches, teeras, carpets, shares, daggers, prayer mats, pens, cups, perfumes and scarves, among others.
In the last year and a half, most recipients have deposited their gifts in Toshakhana, and the Cabinet division is currently in the process of estimating the value of the various gifts received.
It is important to keep in mind that in March 2023, the Shehbaz government presented a new system to manage gifts. According to the new rules, the recipients can maintain gifts worth up to $ 300, while any gift that exceeds this value will become the property of the Toshakhana.
