FO confirms the relocation of 75 Pakistani to Rwanda in the middle of the Congo conflict

The High Commissioner of Pakistan of Rwanda, Naeemullah Khan, has facilitated the entry of Pakistani stranded in Rwanda after the recent climb of conflicts in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (FO).

Around 150 Pakistani had been stranded in rubber, a city affected by violence. From now on, approximately 75 individuals have crossed Rwanda. The high commission of Pakistan in Kigali has provided accommodation and food for those affected, informed for spokesman Shafqat Ali Khan.

The high commission is actively involved with the local Pakistani community to ensure that any other citizen in trouble is identified and assisted. An additional movement of Pakistani to Rwanda is expected in the next few days, said Khan.

The staff of the high commission maintains direct contact with each individual who requests help. The mission is also reaching the Pakistani in the border city of Bukavu, which remains another focal point of concern, he added.
