It is presumed that the members of the artistic skating community were killed in the plane crash near the Reagan International Airport on Wednesday night.
The accident occurred hours before the European figurative skating championship, which honored the victims in a moment of silence before the skaters took the ice.
The legendary transmission duo of Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir were on the call, and before the skating occurred, both offered emotional taxes.

“As we advanced for the European artistic skating championships, we are all suffering today. We were absolutely disconsolate at the news that several members of our skating community were among those lost in the tragic plane crash in Washington, DC, last night,” Weir started.
Weir then read portions of sentimental statements of the artistic skating of the United States and the International Skating Union.
After a moment of silence, presumably to contain tears, Lipinski offered his condolences.
“It is an unimaginable loss. My heart is completely broken for our skating community, their families and loved ones. My heart is with all affected families, and that is the part for which I have no words. It will not do justice. so widespread throughout our skating community.
Weir added: “Our work is to make sure that everyone’s spirit is still alive. It is a tremendous loss that our community feels, and the pain we feel for our tight community and the pain we feel for our friends and colleagues is unimaginable today. Everything My heart is with all those affected by this terrible tragedy: we are so devastated by its loss. “

The first to respond changed recovery efforts on the Potomac River after there were no survivors. There were 60 passengers and four crew members aboard the American Airlines flight and three soldiers aboard the UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter.

It was also believed that two former Olympics, Shishkova and Vadim Naumov evenia were among the victims of the plane crash, the Kremlin confirmed.
