The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has reviewed the Geology Degree Curriculum to align with the latest advances in the field, ensuring that academic programs meet the demands of the industry and global trends.

A two -day advisory session, directed by Prof. Dr. Mumtaz Muhammad Shah, was held at the regional center of Han in Lahore, gathering experts in Geology and members of the Faculty of Universities of all Pakistan.

The curricula reviewed for the associated degree, the Bachelor of Science and the Master of Sciences in Geology focus on closing the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications, incorporating modern technologies such as artificial intelligence, computational modeling and The geospatial analysis.

New specialized courses have been introduced, including AI and computational geology, to equip students with advanced technological skills relevant to contemporary geological research and industry practices.

The reviewed curriculum will be distributed to universities throughout the country for implementation once formally approved by hand management.
