- Samsung’s tri-spot could be called Galaxy G fold
- Samsung joked with the phone last month
- We hope a launch will occur at some point in this year
In addition to presenting Galaxy S25 phones last month, Samsung also caused a new triple folding phone (or folding multiple, if you prefer). Now a new leak may have revealed the name of Samsung will give this telephone.
According to the experienced Tipster Yeux1122 (through Android Authority), the new phone will be called Samsung G Fold, which would fit with the series of names that Samsung currently uses for the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
What the ‘G’ represents exactly here is not clear, but it really doesn’t matter. The letter ‘Z’ would be more appropriate for a folding device with two hinges and three panels, but that nickname is already taken.
All this comes after having the launch of the Huawei Mate XT last year. The talk is that Huawei is working more folding with this form factor, so it seems that the triple or multiple phone is here to stay.
The story until now
While Samsung has now mocked a triple phone, we have no more official details, so we trust leaks and rumors to discover what to expect when the Samsung G fold (if that is its name) finally sees the light of day.
Most signals point to a launch at some point for 2025, possibly together with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 in the middle of the year, in fact, we could obtain up to four Samsung folding in 2025.
Based on published Samsung patents, we know that the triple device could also come with a folding battery, possibly extending time between charges (and perhaps adding some volume to the factor in general).
A screen size of around 9-10 inches has been predicted, and the Samsung phone could well fold inwards, unlike the huawei mate xt, so a second screen would be required on the back of the headset to close The headset
