Tennis legend Pam Shriver has finally met with his stolen trophies.
The Tennis Professional of the Hall of Fame confirmed on social networks that the Los Angeles Police Department returned several pieces of hardware and sentimental items after they were stolen, along with their car, while staying in a hotel after evacuate your home because of devastating forest fires.

“Good news about my trophies (and family photos): The LAPD detective in charge of the investigation has them at the police station that must be carried out,” he said in an X publication this week.

“It is a story too long for a publication. We still hope to find the Dodge Durango Hellcat Black of one piece.”
Shriver, who won 21 Grand Slam double championships, told Associated Press that he had loaded his vehicle with some of his personal belongings, including his trophies and some family photos, before evacuating the area.
While staying at a hotel, his car, and everything inside, was taken.

“The trophies were buried in the back of the car. You couldn’t look at the window and see them,” he said. “I don’t think they were good for people who took the car. So they ended up returning them.”

According to ESPN, The images of the security camera revealed that a person who drives a car that “fits” to the description of the stolen Dodge Durango Hellcat de Shriver was seen leaving the trophies.
Among the trophies they returned to Shriver included five that one had to win the female doubles event of the US Open and the four double trophies of the France Open he had won next to Martina Navratilova. Shriver won 20 of 21 titles with Navratilova.

Shriver said he returned to discover that his house, fortunately, had not been damaged by forest fires, but wonders where they had traveled their belongings.
“It was an interesting chapter. I would like trophies to speak,” he said. “I would like to have known where they have been.”
