Falled driver for the derailment of Shalimar Express

Preliminary results suggest that driver’s error may have played a role in the derailment of Shalimar Express in Lahore, according to rail sources.

A four -member consultation committee has been constituted, comprised of the deputy chief engineer, the mechanical deputy chief engineer, the Deputy Chief Council Carriage and the security of the Deputy Director.

The research team has collected evidence, carried out exhaustive inspections of the railways and the bridge, and reviewed the CCTV images. Driver’s statements, guards, eyewitnesses and other train personnel have also been registered.
