Pakistan, Azerbaijan to boost commercial and investment ties

Pakistan and Azerbaijan have promised to deepen bilateral ties by expanding cooperation in energy, investment and tourism, authorities said Sunday.

The understanding was achieved during a meeting between the Minister of Privatization and Communications of Pakistan, Abdul Aleem Khan and the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Ali Asadov, in Baku.

Khan highlighted Pakistan’s investment potential, particularly in the privatization of state companies. He invited Azerbaijan to invest in the highway infrastructure of Pakistan and other key sectors, ensuring complete facilitation for Azeri investors.

Both parties also discussed the strengthening of their strategic association, focusing on economic collaboration, trade and mutual interests.

Welcoming the Pakistani delegation, Asadov reaffirmed the strong ties between the two nations.

Pakistan and Azerbaijan have maintained nearby diplomatic and economic relations, with both countries that seek to improve cooperation in multiple sectors.
