Jack Quaid did not feel loved by the set of Buddy.
In the film, Quaid plays the antagonist, who takes Android’s girlfriend to a getaway with his friends.
The children’s star revealed that the film crew recovered around the protagonist and was against her character.
He said Weekly entertainment: “There is this type of interesting thing that happens in a set of films or on a TV where, and makes sense! The crew will meet around the character that is the protagonist,” says Quaid.
“They will register the protagonist, and that is great, you want that. I remember saying small jokes about Josh, who are totally deserved, but I had to tune them,” he shared.
He said he couldn’t remember any specific joke that had to take, “but it was just a kind of general atmosphere.”
He continued: “I tried to see him as a good sign. I think it is, if the crew, who is your first audience, is supporting the protagonist and against the antagonist, that is a thousand percentage of what you want. And basically I only I just decided to take it as ‘is fine, we can be on the right path here’ “.
Quaid said that he has always been at the other end of this dynamic, since this is the first time he plays a villain.
“I have been there when that has been done to the person who plays the antagonist, and that makes sense, but you have to tune that,” he explained. “You have to fool yourself to believe that the character you are interpreting is a good guy, and I am very happy not to have to do that more, because it is a real head. But that was the challenge of this, because I do not do that too often “
Buddy Start Sophie Thatcher as Jack Quaid’s girlfriend. The film is currently in cinemas.
