Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Prime Minister Ali Amin Gandapur spoke with the media along with PTI Sheikh Waqas Akram spokesman on Monday, highlighting several crucial problems that affect the province.

He emphasized the fundamental role of the military establishment by addressing the concerns of the province, stating that the discussions with the head of the Army personnel (COA) have been ongoing, particularly with respect to the Prize of the National Finance Commission (NFC) .

Gandapur confirmed that the COA had assured him that a meeting would be convened to address the NFC problem, which leads to the provincial government to temporarily refrain from approaching the Supreme Court.

He criticized the delay in the new NFC award, emphasizing that KP had the right to more funds, especially due to the integration of the old Fata regions. The new NFC award could assign additional RS130 billion to RS150 billion to the province.

“According to the seventh NFC award, the participation of KP is 14.5%, which could increase to more than 19%, which potentially brings 360 billion additional rupees to the province,” said Gandapur.

The CM also stressed that KP was working better compared to other provinces, claiming that the province had achieved significant progress, while other provinces were dealing with accusations of corruption.

In addition, he noted that he had trained the main secretary to take immediate measures against corruption in the province, emphasizing transparency and responsibility.

Gandapur challenged critics, saying that the growth of the province was evident and urged a comparison with the performance of other provincial governments. “In our province, there is no corruption, and the main secretary has the authority to investigate and hold anyone,” he said.

When heading to the broader political context, Gandapur reaffirmed his commitment to Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) and his leadership.

He confirmed his active participation in the continuous efforts of the PTI, particularly with respect to the next political meetings and demonstrations. “I will continue to fight for the launch of Imran Khan and for the future of our party,” he added.

The CM also responded to the accusations of corruption that involved three provincial ministers, ensuring the public that if any irregularity was confirmed, all the details would be made public.

He clarified that Qazi Anwar, a prominent official in the province, was not under his jurisdiction and that the relevant authorities could address any complaint directly.

Gandapur also expressed his dissatisfaction with the federal government, stating that although he had nominated the candidates for key positions such as the main secretary and the inspector general of the Police, his suggestions had not been acted.
