The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has devised a plan to create three separate teams from Pakistan Shaheens for practice matches before the Champions Trophy.

The decision aims to provide the guest teams participating in the Mega event with wide practice opportunities before the tournament begins.

According to the sources, these Shaheens teams will play against the teams that participate in the Champions Trophy, allowing national players the opportunity to compete along with international cricketers. It will also give visiting teams the opportunity to practice before the tournament begins.

According to the plan, a Shaheens team will play practice matches in Karachi, another in Lahore, and the third will be based on Dubai.

In addition, New Zealand and South Africa, who participate in the Champions Trophy, will have the opportunity to practice against Pakistan during the next Tri-Nation series, which begins on February 8 with a match between Pakistan and New Zealand.

Before the start of the Champions Trophy, PCB has finished the schedule for the opening ceremony of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, preparing the stage for a great and spectacular launch of the tournament.

According to the reports, the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which will begin on February 19, will begin with the opening ceremony.

The opening ceremony at the Gaddafi stadium is scheduled for February 7, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to attend as the main guest.

On February 11, the National Stadium in Karachi will organize its opening ceremony, with President Asif Ali Zardari scheduled to be the guest of honor.

The official opening ceremony of the Champions Trophy will take place on February 16 at Lahore at Hazoori Bagh, followed by a brief ceremony at the scene.
