Two Saudi wars, HMS Jazan and HMS Hail, will participate in the Naval Aman-25 Naval Exercise of Pakistan, scheduled from February 7 to 11 at the North Sea of Arabia, a senior Pakistani naval official confirmed Tuesday on Tuesday.
The Amaan exercise, well carried out since 2007, is a multinational naval exercise organized by the Pakistan Navy to improve maritime security and regional interoperability between allied forces.
This year, it is expected that Aman-250s present almost 60 countries, with activities carried out in two phases: a port phase from February 7 to 9, followed by a marine phase from February 10 to 11, which will include search operations and Rescue, live. Weapons firm and an international fleet review.
Admiral Abdul Munib, commander of the Pakistani fleet, stressed the importance of strong maritime ties with Saudi Arabia, highlighting the participation of the Saudi Royal Naval Forces in the exercise.
“Saudi Arabia is a fraternal country,” said Munib, adding that Pakistan also shares narrow naval relations with the United Arab Emirates (EAU), which will actively participate in Amanan-25.
In addition to the two Saudi ships, the Special Operations Forces of the Kingdom (Sof) and the Submarine Demolition Teams (UWD) will also participate in the exercise. The EAU are sending a ship and their own Sof and UWD equipment.
More than 200 international observers are expected to attend, reinforcing the global importance of exercise.
Munib also highlighted the role of Amanan’s dialogue, a forum that runs along with the exercise, where naval chiefs, coastal guards and defense officials of participating countries will exchange ideas and discuss maritime security strategies.
“More than a simple military exercise, they love Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to regional stability, safe seas and counteract non -traditional threats,” Munib said.
He added that the exercise aims to strengthen interoperability and promote the exchange of information between regional and extra regional armeds, which reinforces the shared responsibility for maritime security.
The Amanan-25 of this year will be an important platform to improve cooperation between the world’s armed, with an approach to addressing emerging maritime challenges.
