Optoma has announced a new and very bright 4K laser projector, the UHZ68LV optoma. It has two HDR options, Dolby Vision and HDR10+, and promises a maximum brightness of 5,000 lumens, that is, with the brightest options among the best projectors.
It is a double laser projector, and Optoma says that it offers a accuracy of the color of the DCI-P3 cinema. It is designed for a flexible installation, and can be placed in a front, rear or mounted configuration on the roof.
UHZ68LV Optoma: key features and prices
The projector works with Purengine Ultra de Optoma, the latest generation of its home film image processor, and comes with ISF’s calibration to optimize the image for visualization conditions. There is also a filmmaker’s way so you can enjoy movies as their creators intended.
The UHZ68LV optoma has a 1.6x zoom with lens change and 360 degree projection capacity, and although the complete specifications have not yet been announced, the German retailer Beamer24 details Dolby Atmos; EARC; USB-A, RJ-45 and S/PDIF; HDMI 2.0 and 2.1; an ultra fast image mode of up to 240Hz; and low latency. The light source has a cited life of 30,000 hours.
The new UHZ68LV optoma will be launched today with an official price of £ 3,999.99 (about $ 4,960 / AU $ 8,000).
