Mojang Studios has shared the details for MinecraftThe last public test update.
Before launching MinecraftThe first 2025 content update, the developer has outlined several features that will add to the game, but now it can be tested through Java’s last snapshot.
As detailed in the last blog post, among these new features are two new cows variants, including a cold cow, which “brings cozy with them wherever they go” thanks to their spongy fur and can be found in cold biomes , as well as the auburn warm cow that can be found around sandy biomes.
Mojang also continues to implement a new foliage to bring MinecraftSandbox World to Life. With the new update, the players will meet the “bush of LuciĆ©rnaga” that will generate fireflies dancing at night, illuminating the dark areas. The bush of the firefly can be found in swamps and bodies of water and players can also bury them under other blocks to shine.
Another new plant has also been added, simply called “Bush”, a lock of vegetation quite little notable that can be found sprouting in forests, birch forests, plains, hills whipped by wind and other green biomes.
Finally, even more environmental sounds are being introduced in the game, this time to desert biomes.
“The next time I sail for the dunes of the desert biomes, the shells and warm cows will not be the only things that are heard in the sand banks,” Mojang said. “Listen to the sands of sand and other new sounds of the environmental desert from clusters of sand and terracotta blocks. The dead bush will also carry the squeak of crickets, sprigs of whisper and howls howls while traveling through this wide land.
“You can also carry the relaxing sounds of the deserts to their own compilations by placing the dead bush in two blocks of sand, or grouping several blocks of sand or terracotta together.”
These new features, together with the six new game features that were added last month, are now available in Minecraft: Java edition.
For players interested in trying the update, all they need to do is enable snapshots to Minecraft: Java editionor enabling previous/beta views to Minecraft: Rock edition.
