Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Prime Minister Ali Amin Gandapur said they had received a proposal to transfer the founder of PTI imprisoned Imran Khan of Adiala anywhere else, including his personal residence in Bani Gala, Scenic Nathia Gali or the main minister of KP .
However, there has been no progress in the proposal, since Imran insists that all the detainee PTI workers be released, Gandapur said while talking to journalists in Peshawar, according to a report.
The main minister of the KP, which belongs to the PTI, made the “revelation” amid rumors of rear door conversations between the awarded ancient ruling party and the establishment.
Interestingly, a day before, one of Imran’s lawyers, Faisal Chaudhry, revealed that Imran had written a letter to the Chief General of the Army also Munir, criticizing the establishment’s policies and asking for a review of his focus on national security and governance .
Previously, in December, the ruler PML-N and the PTI agreed to hold conversations with each other to resolve a long-standing political crisis. However, the PTI last week canceled the conversations process and dissolved its negotiation committee.
Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, strongly refuted Gandapur’s claims, calling them “99% false.”
Speaking to a private news channel, he said: “There was never any discussion about changing the founder of PTI to another place. This looks more like PTI’s illusions instead of reality.”
He also rejected the rumors of rear door conversations, stating that if there had been negotiations or rear door offers of the establishment, Imran Khan would not have felt the need to write a letter to the head of the Army, general also Munir. “This letter is basically an appeal to be easy with him,” he added.
