The chief of Jamiat Ulema-E-Islam (JUI-F), Maulana Fazlur Rehman, has strongly criticized the comments of former US president Donald Trump regarding Gaza, urging the Pakistani government and the establishment to adopt a clear position that really represents The country’s conscience.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman reaffirmed his position on Palestine, rejecting Israeli occupation, and emphasized that the Palestinians have an undeniable right to their land. He condemned the statements made by Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during his meeting, calling him an insult to the Muslim Ummah, who according to him is united in protest.

‘Palestine belongs to the Palestinians’

The Chief of Jui-F said that the Palestinian struggle is a legitimate struggle for freedom, labeling Israel as a Zionist occupation that has never been recognized by the Palestinian people. He declared that the entire Muslim Umma is firmly with the Palestinians in their resistance.

He also reminded Trump’s failure the failure of the United States in Afghanistan, stating: “You tried to occupy Afghanistan and spilled blood for 20 years, imposed war and violated human rights, but you faced a humiliating defeat.”

‘Gaza Massacres are war crimes’

Maulana Fazlur Rehman condemned the 15 -month assault from Israel to Gaza, carried out with US support, which made Gaza and Khan Younis into ruins. He stressed that thousands remain buried under the rubble, while more than 50,000 Palestinians, including women and children, have been martyred.

“In what other way can such atrocities be defined, except as war crimes and crimes against humanity?” He questioned, drawing parallel to the execution of Saddam Hussein and the overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi, which according to the west justified by the West for similar lands.

United States support to Israel

In addition, he criticized the United States for supporting Israel’s genocide, stating that Washington continues to support Israel while discussing Gaza’s occupation. In a challenging message, he declared: “That he knows, without power on Earth can occupy Gaza!”

Call for Pakistan to take a firm position

Maulana Fazlur Rehman praised the Arab League for rejecting Trump’s statement and urged the Government and the establishment of Pakistan to eliminate any ambiguity with respect to Palestine and take a strong and clear position in Trump’s comments.

“This is a highly sensitive problem with respect to the Muslim world. Any government that is not clear in Palestine is unacceptable,” he said, reaffirming the unwavering support of Pakistan to the Palestinian cause.
