Virginia McCaskey, the main owner of the Chicago Bears, has died. She was 102 years old.
McCaskey controlled the Chicago NFL franchise since 1983, when he inherited the property after the death of his father and founder of the George Halas team. George was also the first person to serve as the bears coach.
The McCaskey family provided a statement through the Bears, saying that McCaskey lived a “complete” life.
