The Karachi commissioner has issued a suspension order for 11 vaccinators due to negligence during the ongoing polio vaccination campaign.
The suspended staff, including vaccinators of the Malir district and the West district, have been ordered to inform the commissioner’s house.
The notification was issued under the guidance of Commissioner Karachi, Syed Hassan Naqvi, following the instructions of the Chief Secretary.
Suspended individuals include Zafar Khaskheli, Ali Gul Kalhoro, Sarfraz Kattar, Nooruddin Jakhrani, Mazhar Khan Bajrani, Amanullah, Salem Raza, Munshi Mutaz Kalhoro, Abid Shah, Dehni Bakhsh and Abdul Qdad.
The commissioner has made it clear that absenteeism or negligence during the polyomyelitis campaign will not be tolerated. Strict measures will be taken in case of continuous deficiencies in the polio unit.
The main secretary of Sindh, Asif Haider Shah, emphasized the need for district administration, department of income, local government officials and city employees to actively help polio equipment in the countryside.
He warned that strict measures will be taken against any government employee who is absent from his polio duties.
