Police arrest woman after the death of the ‘Star on the Ascent’ Adan Manzano during the Super Bowl week


A Louisiana woman was arrested after the death of Adan Manzano, a sports reporter based in Kansas City, assignment in New Orleans for the Super Bowl.

Danette Colbert supposedly used the Manzano credit card several times in New Orleans.

It faces multiple positions of real estate crimes, including fraud and crimes related to theft, police said.

Its arrest registration includes accusations of robbery, among other alleged criminal acts. An investigation is ongoing.

Manzano traveled to New Orleans to provide coverage for KGKC, the affiliate Telemundo de Kansas City and Tico Sports. Steve Downing, KGKC’s general manager, said Manzano’s body was found inside his hotel room on Wednesday night.

A cause of death was not immediately provided.

KGKC issued a statement that offers condolences to Apple’s loved ones. Telemundo Kansas City also confirmed its cooperation with the authorities in a Published statement to its social media platform.

“Adan was a true professional and a rising star, who exemplified excellence in his work. We will miss Adan and his passion for sports, and the contributions he made to the local community,” says Telemundo 39’s statement.

“Our sincere thoughts and condolences are with their family and loved ones during this difficult time.”

Manzano’s wife, Ashleigh Boyd, died in a car accident last year in Kansas.
