An Afghan national involved in terrorism within Pakistan was killed during an operation carried out by the security forces in the Datta Khel area of ​​the Waziristan district of the north of the province of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on February 6, according to a statement from the Public Relations between Services (ISPR) on Saturday.

The individual was later identified as Luqman Khan, also known as Nusrat, son of Kamal Khan, resident of the district of Spera, Khost province, Afghanistan.

Pakistan has approached the interim Afghan government to take care of the body of the individual, being a Afghan citizen, Ispr said in his statement.

“Such incidents are irrefutable evidence of participation of Afghan citizens in terrorist activities in Pakistan. The interim Afghan government is expected to comply with its obligations and deny the use of Afghan land by terrorists to perpetuate acts of terrorism against Pakistan, ”added the statement.

Pakistan has repeatedly asked the Afghan authorities to prevent militant groups from using Afghan territory to launch attacks within their borders, a point of continuous voltage between the two countries.

The security forces killed three militants during an intelligence -based operation (IBO) in the Datta Khel area of ​​northern Waziristan, according to an ISPR statement on Friday. The operation, carried out on the night of February 6 to 7, followed intelligence reports that indicated the presence of militants in the region.

The military media wing declared that during the operation, the troops successfully attacked the location of the militants, which resulted in the elimination of three terrorists. According to reports, the militants tried to flee while disguised in Burkas.

The deceased terrorists were found in possession of weapons and ammunition. According to the ISPR, they participated in multiple terrorist activities within the region. After the operation, a disinfection mission is currently being carried out to eliminate the remaining threats in the area.
