The national road in Hyderabad was reopened to traffic after a three -day protest by lawyers, who had been demanding the transfer of a senior police officer.
The protest began after a FIR was filed against a defender of wearing plates of elegant numbers and windows dyed in his vehicle.
The lawyers organized a sitting at the Bypass, blocking the roads and worsening the daily trip for residents.
They demanded the transfer of the SSP Farrukh Lanjar. Several political and religious parties joined the protest, reinforcing the lawsuit of lawyers.
Merchants ‘unions in Hyderabad, the second largest city in Sindh after Karachi, issued statements in favor of lawyers’ lawsuits.
The lawyers of Mirpurkhas, Tando Allah Yar, Mehrabpur and Jamshoro also organized protests and sitting, blocking several roads.
The tension was resolved when the Sindh police offered the formation of a judicial commission, and the lawyers agreed conditionally, demanding the transfer first.
Hyderabad Dig Tariq Razak Dharejo confirmed that the SSP Lanjar license application was approved, and SSP Tando Mohammad Khan received an additional position for Hyderabad. The lawyers ended their protest after being sure of the transfer.
In defense of the Police, the Chief of Police of Sindh, Ghulam Nabi Memon, declared: “The police did not commit any crime and did what was required to do under the law.” He also regretted that the Police Department did not receive the cooperation of the company.
Memon emphasized that if the police had resisted, the situation would have worsened for Hyderabad travelers and residents.
With the resolution, the roads are now open, offering very necessary relief to citizens who had faced significant interruptions during the protest.
