The former terrain is the first Pakistan Test Cricket player to complete a level 4 level training course at the University of Loughborough. He has served as bowling coach for county equipment such as Sussex and Surrey and worked with the Perth Scorchers at the Big Bash League (BBL) of Australia.
In addition, Yasir Arafat has been Pakistan’s high performance coach and the bowling coach for the National Team of Hong Kong.
Yasir Arafat described his new role as a valuable experience, attributing his appointment to his familiarity with local conditions.
“It is a good opportunity for me to work with the South Africa team. They have given me the role due to my familiarity with the conditions here, ”he said.
Although he recognized the absence of higher players due to the leagues and T20 injuries, he expressed his confidence in the younger players in South Africa.
“The lack of availability of experienced players makes a difference, but young people also have talent,” he added.
The Tri-Nation Odi series, which extends from February 8 to 14, will serve as a key preparatory event for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which begins on February 19 in Karachi.
Pakistan will face New Zealand in the first game, while the first South Africa game is scheduled for February 10. The final will be played between the two best teams on February 14.
