At least seven terrorists were killed during two separate operations based on intelligence (IBO) at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, military media wing said on Sunday.

During the performance of the operation, the ISPR said, the security forces hired the terrorist’s location and turned out that three terrorists were killed, while two others suffered wounds.

The operations are part of an effort against sustained terrorism, since the country witnessed an increase in violent attacks since the Taliban returned to power in Afghanistan in 2021, particularly in the border provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Baluchistan.
The country witnessed a strong increase in terrorist attacks in January 2025, increasing by 42% compared to the previous month, according to data published by the Institute of Conflicts and Security Studies of Pakistan (PETs), a group of experts.

The tribal districts of KP (former Fata) witnessed 19 attacks, which led to 46 deaths, including 13 security personnel, eight civilians and 25 militants.
Baluchistan also experienced an increase in militant activity, with at least 24 attacks, which charged 26 lives, including 11 security personnel, six civilians and nine militants.
In Punjab, two militant attacks were reported, leaving an injured security official.
