Ledisi, a singer and composer winner of the Grammy Award, sang “raising each voice and sings” as part of the festivities prior to the Super Bowl Lix game.
The Native of New Orleans sang the song, also known as the Black National Anthem, in Caesars Superdome when fans anticipated the start of the game between Kansas City and Philadelphia Eagles chiefs.

She won a Grammy for the best traditional R&B performance for the song “Anything for You”.
Jon Batiste made the National Anthem and Lauren Daigle performed “America The Beautiful”.
The performance of the Black National Anthem has been a source of dismay for fans since the NFL decided to insent the song before the Super Bowl to end the 2020 season. Fans were not happy with that again and made their voices heard in the social networks.

The NFL began playing the Black National Anthem in the 2020 season after the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police officers. The incident began a wave of actions against racial injustice in the United States.
