The official trailer for Good heavens* It has been revealed, and confirms which of its antiheroes will actually be the main villain of the Marvel movie.
Released yesterday (February 9) during one of the numerous advertising breaks of the Super Bowl Lix, the teaser confirms my suspicions that Marvel Phase 5 will come out with an explosion instead of a groan. In fact, the final film of the second phase of the Multiverse saga is full of quotable phrases, frantic action and convincing melodrama, so you can bet that I will be sitting in my closest cinema on the day of the release.

Interestingly, the last teaser to Good heavens* He does not try to hide who will be his main villain. Until now, the various trailers and television posts of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) had suggested that Valentina Allegra de Fontaine would be, who will be played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus once again. However, this new lot of images makes it clear that she will not be the main antagonist of this superhero movie.
Potentially large spoilers follow immediately for Good heavens* From this moment. Return now if you don’t want to know about your villain!
Thunderbolts* Villano explained: Bob Reynolds, Sentry, and the void
Marvel’s second trailer Phase 5 of Marvel reveals that Bob Reynolds, the MCU character that will be played by Lewis Pullman, is actually an overlapping being. Not only that, but it is also harboring more than one secret within itself, and one of them is the potentially worldwide variety.
Well, then who really Bob really? As I said, he is an individual with superhuman abilities who is more commonly known as the sentry. In Marvel’s literature, Sentry is a superhero that, according to the Titan comic, has the power of one million explosive soles. Yes, he is that powerful. Think about him as the version of the Marvel Universe about Superman and will have a much clearer idea of the type of power level we are talking about.
But, as I also alluded, Reynolds is not an honored hero in the same line as Spider-Man or other Marvel heroes. This is because it also has an incredibly dangerous alter ego called void that emerges every time Bob/Sentry loses control.
Essentially, in the comics, Bob received an experimental serum (one developed in an attempt to recreate the super soldier that Steve Rogers received to become Captain America) that promoted him with superpowers. However, the substance also created the void, a demonic entity that causes destruction and meaningless death if it manages to fight Bob’s mind and his powers of his much healthier personality.
To prevent the vacuum from taking over his body and mind, and to prevent the world from destroying, Bob has been cleaned at several points throughout Marvel’s history. It is the only way to keep Bob and Planet Earth safe, but, on the strange occasion when the void has been too powerful to stop, Bob has been forced to take his own life.
We already knew that Bob Reynolds/Sentry would appear in one of the new most exciting films of 2025. Last August, he leaked Good heavens* Teaser confirmed that Sentry would be part of the cast. That confirmation occurred a month before Good heavens* The first trailer was revealed. However, the latest images of the film also reveal that the void will be the big bad of the film.
It is not clear who or what will make Bob’s dark side come out. The last advance suggests that it will happen when the titular antihero group meets Fontaine in the building previously known as Avengers Tower, which you now have, which I hope will happen in the second act of the film. This feels like a good place so that some great revelations of the plot come to light, including one or more that involves Bob that enrages him and makes the void arise.
Nor do we know if Sentry/The Void will be as supremely powerful as in comics. However, I would be surprised if there is no form of MCU -based power scale that makes it less formidable, so Yelena Belova and the company actually have an opportunity to defeat it. That said, the last teaser demonstrates that it will have a series of skills at your disposal, including the flight and the power to send people to the kingdom of the shadow of the void, which we see that they happen on a couple of occasions in said trailer.
Good heavens* He arrives at theaters on May 2. It will be the second of the three MCU films that will be released this year, with Captain America: Brave New World First on February 14 before The Fantastic Four: First Steps Round things on July 25.
