A recent report published on a Globalfirepower.com website has classified the most powerful air forces in the world based on the inventory of its plane, including combat aircraft, helicopters and support planes.
The United States was identified as the strongest Air Force worldwide, followed by Russia and China in second and third place, respectively. India took fourth place, South Korea fifth and Japan sixth, with Pakistan ensuring seventh place.
The report indicated that the United States Air Force has no rival, with a fleet that exceeds the combined aerial capabilities of Russia, China, India, South Korea and Japan.
Opera 5,737 helicopters, 1,854 combat aircraft and 3,722 support planes, with an annual budget of $ 800 billion, which represents almost 40% of world military expenditure.
Russia, with a third of US Air Power, operates 1,554 helicopters, 809 combat aircraft and 610 support planes. However, it has suffered losses, with 220 aircraft destroyed since the beginning of the Ukraine War in 2022.
China, occupied by third place, has been strongly investing in the modernization of its Air Force and recently added its sixth generation combat plane to its fleet. The country is also working on supersonic airplanes. India, South Korea and Japan continue with 2,296, 1,576 and 1,459 aircraft, respectively.
Pakistan, seventh classified, operates 1,434 combat aircraft, helicopters and support planes. Egypt, Türkiye and France complete the first ten, with respective inventories of 1,080, 1,069 and 972 aircraft.
The report highlights the evolutionary panorama of air power, with countries like China that quickly advance their technological abilities, while others, such as Russia, face challenges to maintain their fleets due to continuous conflicts.
