PM Orders Ramazan Plan to control prices

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized Wednesday that the provision of essential foods for affordable prices was the highest priority of the government.

He also ordered the relevant authorities to prepare a comprehensive strategy to guarantee the availability of food at affordable prices during Ramazan.

He said that federal and provincial governments should collaborate to guarantee the provision of edible articles at reasonable prices for the common man.

The prime minister was presiding over the cabinet meeting at the Prime Minister’s house.

He highlighted the tedious efforts of his government to achieve sustainable economic growth based on greater industrial productivity and accumulation.

The prime minister made the opening comments at the Federal Cabinet meeting chaired by him, where he referred to his interaction with the IMF managing director in Dubai, who appreciated the Pakistan team for his commendable efforts in the implementation of the IMF program and achieves in a friendly economic way. indicators

The Cabinet, on the recommendation of the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training, approved the appointment of Dr. Hassan Al-Amin (BS-21) as director of the National Institute of Studies of Pakistan at the Quaid-E-A-Azam University, Islamabad. The cabinet, on the recommendation of the Ministry of Finance, approved the appointment of Tahira Raza as an non -executive member of the State Bank of Pakistan for a period of five years.

The cabinet ratified the decisions taken at the Meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) held on February 3, 2025.
