- The response of the Army Chief occurs after the third open letter of Imran Khan.
- Pakistan is on the path of development, says the Munir of Coas.
- General Munir says that Pakistan progresses, progressing.
The head of the Army personnel, the general also Munir, denied having received any letter from the former prime minister and founder of PTI Imran Khan on Thursday.
Informally speaking to the media and apparently referring to the ‘open letters’ of the former prisoner prime minister, the army chief said he would not “read it [letter] Even if I receive it. ”
The Army Chief said he would send such communication to the prime minister if he received it.
General Munir said the country was progressing satisfactorily and Pakistan was on the path of development.
“Pakistan is moving forward and Pakistan has to move forward,” added the head of the Army.
The development occurred only one day after Khan, who has been behind bars since August 2023 in dozens of cases ranging from corruption to terrorism, wrote a third open letter to General Munir, according to his lawyer.
In the third letter, the founder of the imprisoned PTI reiterated the accusations of electoral rig, saying that “money washing machines” were taken to power through manipulated surveys.
“The founder of PTI, in his letter to the Chief of the Army, has raised the question of giving preference to the minority about the majority through electoral fraud,” said his lawyer Faisal Chaudhry in a statement.
Previously, the 71 -year -old Cricket player became a politician said he had written two “open letters” to the army chief on February 3 and February 8, “because all democratic pathways had been obstructed.”
In previous letters, Imran pointed out what he said it was a growing distance between the army and the public.
In his letters, the former prime minister wrote six points and urged the Army to reassess his policy to win the public with reasons and suggestions proposed by Imran to remedy the situation.
The letters were important when the former ruling party ended their negotiations with the government led by PML-N last month, in which the PTI had demanded two things: the formation of judicial commissions in events that occurred on May 9, 2023 and November 24 -27 as well as the release of “all political prisoners,” including Khan.
In December last year, the general director of Public Relations between Services (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, said that the desire for power of any political leader should be more important than Pakistan’s interests.
The comments of the ISPR spokesman occurred in response to a question about the alleged rear door conversations between the PTI and the establishment.
“All political parties and leaders are respectable to us. No individual, their policy and their desire for power are above Pakistan,” he said during an informative session of the media.
‘The letters aim to create a crack between the army, the public’
The Government, on the other hand, previously reacted to Imran’s movement to write letters to the Army Chief, with the prime minister on public and political matters, Rana Sanaullah. Army command.
Sanaullah questioned the origin of Khan’s letters from jail, asking: “Where do these letters come from? If you want to participate in the political struggle, you should do it in Parliament. ”
Meanwhile, the PML-N senator, Irfan Siddiqui, had said that Khan’s letter to the general was also a proof of the “despair and frustration” of the first.
