PTI dismisses government economic recovery claims

The chief organizer of PTI de Punjab Aaliya Hamza has affirmed that the government’s economic indicators are false and that the country is directed towards the disaster.

The PTI leader described the country’s economic situation after regime change, highlighting significant increases in public services and basic products. She declared that the electricity rate had increased by 212%, the domestic cylinder rate by 43%, gasoline in 70%, Diesel in 80%, gas rate by 1,291%, rice in 95%and General food prices in 187%.

Aaliya said that the production of large -scale industries has been experiencing a decline trend. In fiscal year 2022, he saw an increase of 11.71 percent; However, since then, there has been a continuous decrease. The prices of essential products have increased abruptly. The price of wheat has increased by 52 percent, the price of sugar by 59 percent, the price of beef at 70 percent, the price of the lamb by 58 percent and the price of the chicken in a 64 percent.

The PTI leader said that the prices of other essential articles have also increased significantly. The egg rate has increased by 158 percent, the price of milk by 68 percent and the price of oil by 20 percent. The price of puree Dal has increased by 134 percent, Dal Masoor by 39 percent and onion by 175 percent. Similarly, the price of the potato has increased by 187 percent and the tea rate by 111 percent, he said.

Aaliya Hamza said that the poverty rate in Pakistan had jumped from 18.4 percent in 2022 to 25.3 percent, pushing 13 million people below the poverty line. He also criticized the government’s economic policies, saying that the GDP growth rate has declined continuously since the regime change. In 2022, the GDP growth rate was 6.18 percent, which fell to 0.92 percent in 2025.

Aaliya announced that PTI would hold a meeting with all the MPA at the Punjab assembly to discuss future plans and strategies. He added that the party would continue to protest against government policies and mobilize the masses.
