At the beginning of the JCP meeting on Monday, according to the sources, Judge Shah, while referring to the Charter of Judges, demanded the postponement of the meeting. His statement was supported by Judge Akhtar, as well as Senator Ali Zafar and the member of the National Assembly Gohar Ali Khan.
In the midst of the meeting, lawyers and litigants faced difficulties, since some section of the legal fraternity had called protest against the meeting and new appointments for the Apex court. Due to the protest, several roads were closed in the area.
