Barkley had a small sample of what to expect on Friday when he appeared Thursday at Raising Cane’s in Trose, Pennsylvania, along with the founder of the chickens, Todd Serious. Eagles fans aligned as soon as at 5 in the morning to see and thank Barkley for bringing the Lombardi trophy back to the city.
Talking to journalists, Barkley acknowledged that he wasn’t sure what to wait as long as he travels through Philadelphia, but he knows it will be a party to remember.
“Philly fans have been incredible throughout the year,” said Barkley, an offensive player of the AP year after running for 2,000 yards in 2024. “Only the love and support they have for this team. This city really buys in This team and you could see it there how many people appeared.

“Until now it has been a crazy week for me, but just assume everything and enjoy it.”
Barkley said he will not be the player pronouncing a Kelce -style speech in the steps of the museum, but he knows what players he would choose to do so for how much they mean for the city.
“It won’t be me, I can guarantee that,” he said, laughing. “That’s not mine. If I had to choose one, I would say Lane Johnson or [Brandon Graham]. I think they are the two eagles with more time at this time, so I think it would be perfect for one of them to do that, especially if it is the last game of BG and last year with us. For him to go out with an explosion it would be great. “

Although Barkley will enjoy celebrating the victory with his family, friends and teammates, the city of Philadelphia will make sure to keep the party a safe one, especially after the shooting during the parade of the Super Bowl of the Chiefs last year. One person was killed and another 22 were injured, including 11 children.
Eagles fans have harassed the streets of Philadelphia many times in the past, even twice this year after the Eagles won the NFC and Super Bowl championship.
“You will see a great police presence continue throughout the day and until night,” said Philadelphia Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel, about the parade.
